In June 2022 BSH completed the development of an integrated digital examination platform for the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (www.ides.bg). The platform was developed with the robust low-code solution from Microsoft Power Apps (Microsoft Power Platform) and runs on Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft SQL Server. The platform was well received from members of ICPA, who acknowledged the benefits from digitalizing workflows and organizational processes.
Through the digital platform the Institute’s Committee, responsible for drafting the national exams for Certified Public Accountants, prepares exam questions and sends the exam content via a digital channel to the University of National and World Economy, where the exams are generated from the platform, downloaded on a secure server at the University’s premises and candidates are proctored onsite during the exams. The integrated platform, built on the Microsoft technology stack, provides a secure, encrypted digital channel for delivering the exam content from the Institute’s headquarters to the University’s premises. The platform optimized several processes, saving time and resources, and considerably improving the security and integrity of the examination process. To ensure independence and confidentiality of information in the workflows, different user roles with varying access levels were implemented.
In 2021 BSH started building expertise and talent capability in the field of Microsoft Power Apps. Microsoft Power Apps is a suite of apps, services, and connectors, as well as a data platform, that provides a rapid development environment to build custom apps for a huge variety of business needs. Using Power Apps, you can quickly build custom business apps that connect to data stored either in the underlying data platform (Microsoft Dataverse) or in various online and on-premises data sources (such as SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SQL Server, and so on).
